I Did It Backwards in High Heels: Why This Women’s Conference Can’t Be Missed
What if you could sit in a room and hear directly from women who’ve climbed every obstacle, led with resilience, and built thriving careers—often while doing it “backwards in high heels”? At the AAOE Women in Medical Practice Management Conference, you’ll do just that.
Past attendee and speaker Megan A O’Hara, Practice Manager, Robert V Moriarty MD PC, shared how the conference opened doors, boosted her confidence, and gave her a network she can lean on to this day. Her powerful session, “I Did It Backwards in High Heels,” is just one of many moments that leave attendees saying: this is the conference that changed everything.
AAOE: What makes this event a can’t-miss event for you?
Megan: Last year’s event was so great. Not only the camaraderie of all the women and feeling like I wasn’t alone in this journey but, learning new ways of approaching situations and how to tackle work life balance, if I even get half of that this year I will be a very happy lady.
AAOE: How will the Women in Medical Practice Management Conference help you expand your professional network?
Megan: I am always looking to improve my network, and each time I attend a conference, whether the annual conference or this Women’s conference, it is guaranteed there will be new faces to meet, new ideas to hear, and new concepts for what our careers look like, and that is worth more than gold. Having so many people at the tip of my finger all of these years has been the secret to success.
AAOE: How will the Women in Medical Practice Management Conference help you increase your professional confidence?
Megan: I started in this field young with no real mentor, so this is something very close to my heart. Being confident is something I struggle with, and hearing how a lot of women feel that way as well is just the start of why I think it is so important to attend. Learning different points of view and different ways to handle situations will only make me more confident.
