Vendor Comparison Tool

The AAOE Vendor Comparison Tool, developed by AAOE's Technology Council, provides a suggested set of criteria on which to evaluate orthopedic products and services. Users of the tool can insert additional criteria as needed to represent the priorities of their practice.

To use the AAOE Vendor Comparison Tool, first navigate to the appropriate sheet for the product you are evaluating:

  • Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Patient Check-In/Check-Out
  • Patient Portal
  • Scribe/Documentation
  • Patient Reported Outcomes
  • Patient Self-Scheduling
  • Revenue Cycle Management

Then, review the Category and Description columns to familiarize yourself with the criteria included. Please note that the Description has been customized for each product to reflect identified priorities.

Complete the Tool by summarizing how each vendor's product or service meets the criteria listed. Information can be based on responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), product demos, or similar processes.

After providing information for each of the criteria listed, complete the Rating section at the bottom of the sheet to quantify your assessment of the product or service and to directly compare across vendors and products/services.
