Volunteer Voices: Spotlight on Parissa Amerinouri

Our newest Volunteer Voice comes from Parissa Amerinouri, Marketing Manager at Össur in Irvine, California. Parissa was recognized for her service on our Industry Relations Advisory Board. She chose to volunteer because AAOE brings orthopedic leaders and industry partners together to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships, and support the success of orthopedic practices nationwide. Through her involvement, she has gained valuable insights while contributing to a thriving professional community. Parissa's time and volunteer service is much appreciated, as is her sharing of the following insights:
What made you decide to volunteer with AAOE and what words of encouragement do you have for others that may consider doing so?
I decided to volunteer with AAOE because of the value it provides to both members and industry partners. AAOE creates a unique environment where orthopedic leaders can connect, network, and share insights, services, and best practices that help their organizations thrive. My encouragement to others is to get involved! You gain valuable perspectives, build meaningful relationships, and have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of the orthopedic community. My service as an AAOE volunteer makes me feel fortunate, inspired, and excited.
Which AAOE benefit or service do you use most and why?
As an employee of Össur and AAOE Industry Relations Advisory Board (IRAB) member, one of the benefits I value most is the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals across the orthopedic industry. AAOE provides a platform to support members, strengthen partnerships, and engage in meaningful conversations that foster collaboration and learning. It allows us not only to share how we can support orthopedic practices, but also to stay up to date, learn from industry leaders, and contribute to a strong, connected orthopedic community.
Why are you enthusiastic about the orthopedic practice profession?
At its core, the profession is focused on restoring mobility and helping patients return to the activities they love. I’m inspired by the continuous innovation at my organization and within the field, and by the passionate professionals who are dedicated to advancing patient care and shaping the future.
