Volunteer Voices: Spotlight on Mike Doyle

AAOE proudly shares the Volunteer Voice of Mike Doyle, MBA, LAT, BCS-O. He is the Vice President of Medical Group Ambulatory Operations at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, A Service of Alomere Health, in Alexandria, Minnesota. We recently recognized Mike for his contributions on the AAOE Advocacy Council. For Mike, getting involved is an important part of understanding the issues affecting the profession and having a voice in where it goes next. His volunteer service provides an opportunity to stay informed, offer his perspectives, and help support meaningful progress. Mike's enthusiasm for orthopedics comes from both the challenge and the impact. Our association is grateful he is so active in AAOE.
What made you decide to volunteer with AAOE and what words of encouragement do you have for others that may consider doing so?
I feel it’s important to be active in organizations. If you want to have a better understanding of what’s going on and want to impact the direction, you need to be involved. The collegial experience of serving on the Advocacy Council makes me feel engaged and informed.
Which AAOE benefit or service do you use most and why?
Participating in the Benchmarking Survey and using the data to compare to our peers is very valuable. The online Collaborate community is a great place to ask questions and find answers from our peers. The annual conference is always a high point of the year. I hope you plan on being in Fort Worth on April 18-20, 2027.
Why are you enthusiastic about the orthopedic practice profession?
It’s a constant challenge! I like to fix things and help the group progress. Orthopedic care has such a positive impact on patients lives. To help lead an organization that provides these services is very rewarding.
