Volunteer Voices: Spotlight on Danielle Mignemi

Volunteer Voices,

Our latest Volunteer Voice comes from Danielle Mignemi MS, ATC, LAT, OT-SC. Danielle is the Assistant Director, Patient Care Services at Emory Orthopaedic, Sport and Spine Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  Her service on the Membership Council recently brought her recognition and we are pleased to highlight her in further detail now. AAOE is thankful for Danielle’s dedication to our association! We appreciate all she does in service to our community – and thank her for the input she’s provided about her volunteerism.

What made you decide to volunteer with AAOE for the Membership Council and what words of encouragement do you have for others that may consider doing so?

I was new to AAOE and wanted to take the opportunity to meet new people and become more engaged. I saw the Membership Council as a meaningful way to contribute while also continuing to learn and grow alongside others who care deeply about this profession. For anyone considering volunteering, I would encourage you to take the step. The time commitment is manageable, the conversations are valuable and the relationships you build are incredibly rewarding. My volunteer experience has felt engaging and rewarding.

Which AAOE benefit or service do you use most and why?

I really value the webinars and the easy access to ask questions through the forums on the Collaborate community. These resources have been instrumental in expanding my knowledge and giving me practical insights I can apply right away. Having the ability to learn from experienced peers and engage in ongoing discussions has helped me grow professionally and feel more confident as I continue to develop in my career.

Why are you enthusiastic about the orthopedic practice profession?

I’m enthusiastic about the orthopedic practice profession because of the real, visible impact it has on patients’ lives. Helping people regain mobility, return to activities they love, and feel like themselves again is incredibly rewarding. I also value the strong sense of teamwork within orthopedic practices everyone plays an important role, and collaboration is essential to success.

AAOE extends gratitude to Danielle for her ongoing effort, commitment and enthusiasm!
