Volunteer Voices: Spotlight on Amber Harris

Volunteer Voices,

AAOE proudly shares the Volunteer Voice of Amber Harris, Human Resources and A/P Manager at Suncoast Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine in Venice, Florida. She was recognized for her service on the Technology Council.  Amber was inspired to volunteer because of the sense of community within AAOE and the shared commitment to helping practice leaders succeed. She encourages others to get involved, reminding them that curiosity, care, and a willingness for growth are what matter most. AAOE is fortunate for the enthusiasm and dedication Amber brings to our amazing team of volunteers. We appreciate her sharing the following with us:

What made you decide to volunteer with AAOE and what words of encouragement do you have for others that may consider doing so?

I decided to volunteer with AAOE because it’s one of the few communities where people genuinely care, about each other, the organization, and helping fellow practice leaders succeed. If you’re thinking about getting involved, jump in! You don’t have to be an expert; you just need to care and have a desire to learn and grow. I feel engaged, inspired and informed by my service on the Technology Council.

Which AAOE benefit or service do you use most and why?

I use AAOE Collaborate the most because it provides real-time, practical insight form peers facing the same challenges so it is an efficient way to gather ideas, validate solutions, and stay current.

Why are you enthusiastic about the orthopedic practice profession?

Orthopedics is one of the few specialties where you can see the impact you’re making in patients’ lives almost immediately, and every team member contributes to that outcome. It’s a fast‑paced, constantly evolving field filled with dedicated surgeons and professionals who truly care about patients and are committed to both quality care and innovation.

Thank you, Amber! Your contributions keep our organization moving forward!
