A Year of Momentum
489 attendees gathered in Louisville for the AAOE 2026 Annual Conference, the highest turnout since 2019. With industry partners, attendee guests, and staff included, the total presence nearly doubled, filling the show floor with energy and connection.

President Terrance Rosenthal, MBA, ATC, carries that momentum into a focused agenda for 2026-2027. His priorities include expanding the AAOE Benchmarking initiative with multi-year trend insights and richer dashboards, supporting members through the AAOE Billing and Coding Series led by Margie Vaught, and strengthening advocacy through AAOE's new lobbying partnership with Hooper, Lundy & Bookman. Key advocacy targets include protecting the financial viability of medical group practices, prior authorization reform, CMMI Models and bundling, and improving implementation of No Surprises Act requirements.

Gratitude for Outgoing Leadership
The board also recognized outgoing President Andrea Allyn, MBA, LAT, who will continue to serve as Past President and Annual Conference Council Chair. During her presidential year, Andrea championed member engagement, supported the launch of AAOE Bucks in the exhibit hall, and helped guide the organization through significant growth in membership programming and conference experience.

"Andrea's care and intention in this role have been felt by every member, volunteer, and team she interacted with this year," said Addy Kujawa, CAE, DES, Chief Executive Officer of AAOE. "She showed up for this community in big ways and small ones, and her collaborative spirit made everyone around her better. We are grateful she will continue contributing as Past President and Annual Conference Council Chair."

AAOE also extends sincere thanks to Dr. Michael Behr, MD, MBA, who was recognized at the Opening General Session for his service as an outgoing board member.

Looking Ahead
As the healthcare environment continues to shift, AAOE remains committed to supporting musculoskeletal practice executives, administrators, physicians, and their teams with the education, community, and advocacy they need to lead well.

"This board reflects the diversity of our membership, from large academic systems to single-specialty practices, and from every region of the country," added Addy Kujawa, CAE, DES, Chief Executive Officer of AAOE. "That range of perspective is exactly what AAOE needs as we continue setting the standard for musculoskeletal practice management."
