Earl Anderson Named Innovator of the Year at the AAOE Annual Conference
Earl Anderson, CEO of Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics, has created innovations at his clinic that have included launching the first-of-its-kind concept of a comprehensive medical facility, where patients could see a doctor, receive diagnostic testing and outpatient surgery all at the same location. First launched at their Parkwest location, this innovative process allowed the clinic to care for patients using state-of-the-art technology (including the installation of its first MRI), thereby increasing patient comfort and decreasing the financial impact on the patient.
By 2010, a million-dollar construction project completed their new location in the Center for Advanced Medicine, adjacent to Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. With patient comfort and convenience in mind, they designed the new facility with technologically advanced diagnostics, comfortable waiting area and consultation rooms, and a new physical therapy office. That's why in 2013 they opened their first Quick Care After Hours location to treat acute orthopaedic injuries and help patients avoid a visit to the emergency room. This service allows patients to be seen by an orthopaedic specialist and, if needed, get into our system of care quickly.
Throughout the past 23 years, With Earl Anderson as CEO, TOC has continued to invest in technologies and facilities to improve quality of care for our patients. They’ve invested in men and women who ethically manage and transform their company and services. They’ve invested in a competent and caring medical staff, many of whom have been with them for 20, 30, and even 40 years. We began this journey with 99 employees at four locations. Today, with over 500 team members, over 250% growth, they look forward to their future in orthopaedic patient care.
The award was presented to Anderson’s staff, as he was unable to attend the conference.
