Volunteer Voices: Spotlight on Amy Dahl

Volunteer Voices,

Today’s Volunteer Voice comes from Amy Dahl, Clinical Manager at Peachtree Orthopedics in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was recently recognized for her service on the Membership Council. Gratitude to Amy for her volunteerism and for sharing her insights on the profession and her experience.

Which AAOE member benefit or resource do you utilize most often and why? "I get the most value from the AAOE annual conference and virtual seminars. The conference is something I look forward to every year—not just for the education, but for the chance to connect with others who truly understand the challenges of running an orthopedic practice.

I always leave feeling re-energized and full of practical ideas I can bring back to my team. The virtual seminars are also a great way to keep learning throughout the year. They've helped me stay ahead on key topics like regulatory updates and operational best practices, all without having to leave the office."

Why are you enthusiastic about the orthopedic practice profession? "I am enthusiast about orthopedics because it plays a critical role in helping people regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to active lives—and being part of that journey is incredibly fulfilling."

What experiences or encouragement about serving as an AAOE volunteer would you like to share with your peers? "Volunteering with AAOE has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s not just about giving back—it's also about growing personally and professionally. By serving on committees and collaborating with fellow members, I’ve expanded my network, gained fresh insights into industry challenges, and contributed to meaningful solutions that impact orthopedic practices nationwide. One of the most encouraging aspects has been the sense of community. Whether you're a seasoned executive or newer to the field, AAOE makes everyone feel welcome and valued. Your voice matters, and your involvement truly makes a difference. I encourage anyone considering volunteering to take that first step—you’ll find it’s a powerful way to learn, lead, and connect. We invite you to join AAOE’s volunteer community: aaoe.net/volunteer. My own volunteer service was a collaborative, engaging and rewarding experience."

Thank you, Amy, for your service and dedication to AAOE!
