INDIANAPOLIS, IN—May 8, 2025. The American Alliance of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) is proud to announce that Erika Noll, OTR/L, CHT, Chief Operating Officer of Peachtree Orthopedics, has been named the 2025 Practice Executive of the Year. The award was presented at the AAOE Annual Conference in recognition of Erika’s exceptional leadership, resilience, and unwavering commitment to advancing orthopedic practice management.
As COO of the largest independently owned orthopedic practice in Atlanta, Erika oversees the operations of 43 physicians, more than 30 advanced practice providers, 11 offices, 12 physical and occupational therapy locations, 4 MRI magnets, and three ambulatory surgery centers. Since taking on the role in 2020, she has led the onboarding of twelve new physicians, opened four new locations and an ASC, and played a pivotal role in the practice’s strategic growth.
Erika’s influence extends far beyond her operational duties. She has guided the practice through multiple crises—including office flooding, global IT outages, power failures, and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic—ensuring uninterrupted care for patients every step of the way. Her calm, composed leadership has become a hallmark of the practice, earning her the nickname "the keel of the Peachtree Orthopedics ship."
Described as leading with a “velvet hammer,” Erika brings a balance of strength, empathy, and strategic thinking to her role. She supports her leaders without micromanaging, delivers feedback with thoughtfulness, and is known for her impeccable timing—whether offering insight or lending an ear. Her colleagues say her sharp sense of humor and steady demeanor make her a trusted mentor and an indispensable leader.
Erika also champions a culture of advancement and inclusivity. In a field historically dominated by men, she actively promotes women in leadership and provider roles and advocates for employee growth and development throughout the organization.
“Erika Noll exemplifies what it means to be a Practice Executive of the Year,” said Joseph Mathews, PT, DPT, AAOE President and Practice Administrator, Advanced Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, a division of OrthoLonestar. “Her ability to lead with clarity, empathy, and strategic foresight—especially during times of rapid growth and unexpected challenges—is truly remarkable. Erika’s commitment to her team, her patients, and to elevating women in orthopedic leadership makes her an inspiring force in our community. We’re proud to recognize her outstanding contributions to the field.”
