Choose Wisely: Staff Augmentation vs. Outsourcing
Thursday, July 24th, 2025
1:30 - 2:15 pm EST
Internal staff have so much to do but rarely enough time to do it. From manually performing release of information (ROI), managing faxes, interacting with patients, verifying insurance, and forms completion – orthopedic specialists need to find creative ways for greater efficiencies in their practices. They also want internal staff focused on patient care, not administrative tasks. Most have staff vacancies to fill. Today’s staffing challenges can be solved by augmentation or outsourcing. How do you know which option is the best for your practice? This session will compare the choices to allow for more informed decisions.

Learning Objectives
- Explain how comprehensive care coordination, forms completion, inbound document management, prior authorizations, referrals, and ROI improve patient experience and outcomes with comprehensive, reputable records pulled from orthopedists’ current systems.
- Outline how to develop a streamlined process for quicker, more efficient fulfillments, with reduced risk.
- Identify how record requests can be uploaded into an application so trained outsourcers immediately know there’s a pending notification for form processing, removing the onus from internal staff.
