Industry Relations Advisory Board

The AAOE Industry Relations Advisory Board is a group of exhibitor volunteers that provide recommendations on specific aspects of the AAOE exhibitor, sponsor, and advertising programs to better serve AAOE members and improve the vendors' experience.

Alicia Burns, Chair

Alicia Burns is the Orthopedic Product Marketing Manager at Modernizing Medicine, where she is responsible for managing the marketing and communication strategies for the orthopedic portfolio to enhance the customer experience and to support business goals. She also collaborates with product development teams to develop go-to-market strategies for innovative orthopedic solutions. Alicia has worked in healthcare marketing since 2009 and is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she studied telecommunication and business. Alicia resides in South Florida and enjoys exercising, traveling, and volunteering with community service organizations.

Eric Christensen

Eric is a nationally recognized speaker and author on compliance topics and practice management. Eric co-founded Healthcare Compliance Pros in 2011, bringing his 30+ years’ experience in healthcare compliance, IT administration, and education to the organization. Eric’s background in IT administration has been instrumental in providing a technical view of an organization's adherence to HIPAA Privacy and Security policies. Eric’s experience and expertise are highly regarded in the Security Risk Audits he is asked to perform for hundreds of healthcare entities. Eric’s experience brings a unique perspective into compliance and implementation in the medical community. Eric possesses a broad knowledge of telemedicine, e-PHI, MIPS/MACRA, employee hiring and firing, and more. Eric’s educational experience in Healthcare Administration and Information Technology partners well with his many certifications; MCSE, CCNA, CHCP, and others. 


Alexandra Magin

Alex Magin is from São Paulo, Brazil, attended British schools and Brazilian University before moving to Mexico City and then Chicago where she received her MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg GSM. Alex worked at Motorola for 8 years in Global Product Marketing & Sales roles. In 2005 Alex joined Sony as Director of Product Marketing, Sony United, National Sales teams and then Corporate Marketing reporting to the CEO. Alex brings the experience, energy, dedication and professionalism needed to create and implement innovative programs to launch new products and solutions to drive profitable growth and build strong brands. Alex has a truly global perspective having worked, lived and traveled extensively throughout Latin America, Europe, Asia and the US and speaking three languages fluently – Portuguese, English and Spanish. In 2015 Alex joined DJO, a Global Orthopedics company and currently leads Marketing for Healthcare Solutions, including the MotionMD software platform which recently surpassed 2M Patient agreements, across 19k providers and 17k locations. Alex and her family live in Del Mar, California. 


Ashley Moore Deitsch

Ashley is Vice President of Marketing for MedEvolve where she drives the company’s marketing strategy and execution. She’s a hands-on leader responsible for increasing the company’s visibility in the physician practice market and collaborating with all departments in the company to improve communications internally and externally. Ashley brings 18 years of experience leading marketing efforts for various companies, primarily in healthcare. She holds a BA from Georgia State University. She lives in Johns Creek, GA with her husband and twin boys. In her spare time, she competes in triathlons for Team in Training to raise money for Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Justin Rockman

Justin Rockman is VP Sales and Business Development at Surgimate and has been active in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. He has broad experience working hands-on with hundreds of orthopedic surgical practices and surgery centers across the United States.  Justin has worked in numerous successful start-ups and has broad international experience working with clients in the US, Europe and Asia.  Born in Melbourne Australia he has an LLB, BA and MBA. Justin is passionate about technology and providing the very best strategic solutions for his customers. In his spare times he enjoys playing the didgeridoo and running ultra-marathons. He is married to Gila and they have four children. 



Jana Foor (Board Liaison)

A seasoned orthopedic executive who has worked in healthcare for more than 25 years, Foor brings a zeal for leadership, volunteering, and professional development. She currently works for the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Red Bank, NJ, and has been a member of AAOE for 10 years. Foor has served on the Education Council, the Membership Committee, the Legacy Committee, and now as an AAOE board member. She has written content for the eNewsletter and presented at the 2016 annual conference. 

Foor works as a healthcare consultant with demonstrated effectiveness at identifying systemic and operational roadblocks to success, implementing strategies that affect change at multiple levels. Her skills have allowed companies to increase profits by streamlining operational practices in areas such as general business, human resources, recruitment, customer service and service delivery, and organizational development and management. Foor also serves on MDAdvantage Insurance Company of New Jersey’s Practice Management Advisory Committee.

Foor is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton and holds a Master’s degree and is doctoral prepared in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Illinois. As a clinician, Foor and her team won the prestigious Cigna Presidents Award for their contribution to the national preferred provider initiative. Foor has served as an operations leader developing and implementing specialized treatment programming and as a speaker and consultant on issues related to effective facility and community corrections programming strategy, her efforts resulted in multi-state legislation of measures that resulted in an increase in community safety.

Foor enjoys travel, spending time with family, and donating her time to a variety of organizations for the betterment of the planet.
