How to Contribute

Everyone who signs up for the writer’s pool will receive emails detailing upcoming article topics. If a topic catches your eye and you are willing to write or be interviewed on that topic, let us know. Or if you know someone else who could provide information on a topic, let us know. We’ll reach out to him or her. Each person we interview will be appropriately quoted and credited within the articles.

The topics will vary, so there is no pressure to be a source each time you receive an email. You don’t even have to respond if you aren’t interested. This is simply the opportunity to see what’s coming up and get involved!

Here are some of the ways to contribute:

  • Let us know if you would be a good source to interview for a particular topic—or if you would like to write an article yourself related to that topic.
  • Suggest peers or colleagues who could serve as knowledgeable sources for any given topic.
  • Let us know what topics you would be interested in seeing us include in our publications.
  • Give us feedback on articles we have published.

  • Please check out our author guidelines if you are interested in submitting original content, and be aware that all article submissions must be reviewed and approved by the AAOE Editorial Advisory Board before inclusion in any publication.
  • Contact AAOE Manager, Education Alyssa Gibson ( or 317-749-0631) with article ideas or submissions.
