AAOE Annual Conference Speaker FAQ

Speaker FAQ

Updated 8:12 am EDT, March 17, 2020

AAOE’s Annual Conference is going virtual in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States.

Below is more information for speakers. Thank you for your continued commitment to the AAOE Annual Conference as we pivot to virtual. We will be here along the way to help you navigate this update. We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility.

How will my session be presented virtually?

Virtual sessions will be conducted via a webinar platform. To help you prepare, we are providing each speaker with detailed instructions and scheduling a dry run. During your dry run, you’ll experience the webinar platform we will use on the day of the live presentation.

Click here to schedule your dry run with AAOE Education Staff 2-3 weeks prior to the conference.

Know that an AAOE staff member will be on the webinar platform the day of your presentation to handle all the behind-the-scenes logistics so you can focus on your presentation.

How does this affect my presentation materials?

It doesn’t; speakers are still required to prepare their PowerPoint presentation, quiz, and PDF handout. Remember the deadline is March 20 for Ignite and Learning Loft speakers, and April 1 for all other formats.

I’m a Learning Loft Speaker. How does this affect my presentation?

If you have already developed your presentation using the Learning Loft format, please submit it using that format. No other edits are needed. If you have not yet developed your presentation in the Learning Loft format, you are welcome to use the standard format. Please email info@aaoe.net if you would like the template sent to you.

I’m registered for the full conference. How does this affect my registration?

It doesn’t; you’re still registered! Please refer to our Attendee FAQ for more information.
