Membership Options

Welcome!  AAOE is THE association developed exclusively for orthopedic practice executives and their staff.  With an AAOE membership, you will have countless opportunities to connect with members, gain access to  vital practice management tools, and participate in the best education for orthopedic practice professionals.

Who Can Be A Member?

  • All memberships are tied to a single person as an individual membership.
  • Qualifying candidates have an interest in orthopedic or musculoskeletal practice management (currently employed) and/or orthopedic surgeons/physicians (currently practicing or retired but involved in practice operations); and/or a desire to become an orthopedic practice executive.
  • Examples of an orthopedic setting whose employees are eligible for membership include: academic institutions, multi-specialty practices, single specialty practices, hospitals, and health system owned practices.
  • Individual members shall have the right to vote, may serve on AAOE committees, may serve as chairpersons on committees, and may serve on the AAOE Board of Directors.
  • All members must attest annually to continued eligibility when renewing.

  • NOTE: AAOE does not accept representatives of vendor companies into membership.

Multiple Members Grouped with Same Company/Organization

  • All memberships are personal, not in the name of a company. However, employees of the same organization may be grouped together to qualify for discounted dues based on the total number of memberships recognized as affiliated with the same group.

Full-Time Student Membership

  • Qualifying candidates for a student membership may not be employed by a practice or otherwise be eligible as a regular individual member. In addition, candidates must be enrolled as full-time student in an accredited degree program in healthcare administration and must provide date of expected degree completion during the application process.

Retired Administrators

  • The Emeritus membership status may be rewarded to individuals who have been active AAOE members in good standing for a minimum of ten consecutive years. You must be a minimum of 55 years of age and not be paid by any practice or any industry vendor company in any capacity.
