AAOE Business Connections

AAOE has spoken at length with our industry partners and our members to find out how we can best support everyone’s business needs in light of the cancelled trade show component of our annual conference, and we’ve heard that:

  • Orthopedic practices are still looking for products and services to move their practices forward.  In some cases members are making investments in new technologies due to the pandemic, such as telemedicine.  In other cases, members are using this time of reduced patient activity to revisit other internal processes and systems that need improvement and/or updating.

  • Industry suppliers still need to develop their pipelines of business and stay connected with their clients and prospects to ensure the health and viability of their businesses over the coming months.

Given these needs to continue making business connections, AAOE has developed a series of new engagement opportunities designed to incentivize members to participate and to help foster meaningful connections within our community.

How these sessions work:  Attendees choose the event(s) of interest to them and complete a short questionnaire to determine eligibility.  Individuals who meet the criteria are invited to attend, and those who attend and complete a post-event survey will be sent a gift card as a “thank you” for participating.

Virtual Micro Meetings

Attendee incentive:  $25 Amazon Gift Card

Time commitment:  30 minutes

Number of attendees:  Up to 20

These small group meetings provide both education and human connection by using video to create a virtual face-to-face environment.  Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to turn their computer cameras on, “Brady Bunch” style, in order to better connect with all the participants.  These sessions allow you and your peers a chance to hear a case study, see a product demo, or learn about best practices with a higher level of interaction than a typical webinar provides, plus you’re rewarded for your time!

Virtual Focus Groups

Attendee incentive:  $100 Amazon Gift Card

Time commitment:  60 minutes

Number of attendees:  Up to 10

What better way to influence the direction of products and services in the orthopedic space than by participating in focus groups to help industry suppliers better understand what’s most important to you and your practice.  All that’s needed is your time and your candid feedback to questions posed by the host company.  Best of all, you get paid to share your opinions!
