Hello Fellow AAOE Members,

I hope you are ready for the weekend and your plans are relaxing, renewing, and reinvigorating.

I want to share a brief update with you on AAOE’s upcoming Capitol Hill Day. Our Advocacy Council has been working hard on this program to give our profession a voice on Capitol Hill. In a little over a month, our advocates will “hit the Hill” to advocate for legislation to:

  • Delay the pending cuts to computed radiography reimbursement;
  • Repeal the ban on physician-owned hospitals;
  • Remove total hip replacements from CMS’ Inpatient Only List; and,
  • Reform federal malpractice guidelines.

I want to encourage each of you to sign up for and attend this event. The more participants we have, the louder our message will be. If you cannot attend, encourage one of your physicians or other staff to attend and make an investment in your practice’s future.

Our advocates will travel to Washington, DC on Monday, September 11 and meet with their legislators on Tuesday, September 12. Education will be provided online the week before the Hill visits and AAOE will schedule your meeting appointments for you. AAOE has made this so easy that you can’t afford to miss this event.

A limited number of scholarships are available to cover the cost of registration for the event. I encourage each of you to take advantage of this opportunity to make positive change for your practices, your patients, and your physicians.

Register here before August 20.

A special thanks goes out to those of you who have already registered and a big thank you to the financial supporters of this event:
