Learn more by attending Robert Mac's AAOE 2020 Annual Conference Session, "The Benefits of Laughter: Stress Less".

They say that laughter is the best medicine, but if Congress doesn’t reform healthcare properly, it might be the ONLY medicine. In the meantime, it sure doesn’t hurt to chuckle every once in a while.

If you’re in the healthcare industry, especially if you’re an orthopedic executive, you have a stressful job that doesn’t allow much time for laughing. In fact, it’s one of the most stressful jobs in the country, and there’s nothing funny about that. Thankfully, I’m here to help.

My talk, “Stress Less with Robert Mac,” is guaranteed to make you laugh—or your money back. Not only that, but you’ll come away with dozens of legitimate stress-reduction techniques that you can use in the short and long term to handle the daily stresses of life and your profession.

These are proven techniques that range from the simple (standing up or counting to 10) to more involved (meditation). Practicing these skills is a simple way to combat the long-term effects of stress. Anxiety is a condition that many people think they can push through, but the consequences can impair your mental and physical health over the long haul.

Not only will you learn these proven methods of stress relief, but the presentation is a 45-minute example in action of one of the more powerful ones: laughter. Laughter (as well as many other things—come to the session to learn them all!) causes the natural release of dopamine, part of your body’s chemical reward system.

I’ve been making people laugh professionally for over 2.6 decades, from conferences and conventions, to comedy clubs and television shows. My presentation is not a stand-up routine, but a very entertaining presentation that will teach you some serious stress-reduction tips.
