AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference agenda is packed with a lineup of all-star industry experts presenting on the latest trends and innovation in orthopedic practice management. To help you get to know the conference's speakers a little better, we will be spotlighting them leading up to the conference.

AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference brings to you, Susan Young, MSA, Positive Impact & Change Expert of Susan C Young International, LLC . Are you ever irritated, frustrated, or stressed out by poor communication? Does your team play well together or is reaching agreement always a struggle? Does your culture provide a positive environment for your customers, staff, and YOU? Is it sometimes easier to avoid confrontation than to bravely dive into a healthy dialogue?

Whether you are seeking powerful ways to unify your people, create a more positive workplace, deepen your level of collaboration, or deliver world-class customer service, great communication skills are essential for your success. Cohesiveness, performance, momentum, and profitability all start by building authentic relationships forged in trust, cooperation, and respect. The presenter will teach you how to put the power of positive communication to work for you.

Young recently shared some information to help you get to know more about her and her session!

AAOE: Why should attendees come to your session?

Young: Whether you are seeking powerful ways to unify your people, create a more positive workplace, deepen your level of collaboration, or deliver world-class customer service—great COMMUNICATION SKILLS are essential for your success. Cohesiveness, performance, momentum, and profitability all start by building AUTHENTIC relationships forged in trust, cooperation, and respect and Susan C Young will teach you how put the power of positive communication to work for you.

AAOE: What's a fun fact about you that attendees should know?

Young: At the age of 15 years old, Susan was nominated and chosen to be on the West Point Military Academy's Homecoming Court before women attended as students. Her father first refused to let her go, saying if something this incredible happened in her life while she was so young, her future would be filled with disappointed expectations. She has joyfully grown to prove him wrong and continues to create incredible experiences that stretch the limits and raise the bar.

AAOE: What are key takeaways from your session?

Young: In this engaging session, Susan will share real-world, how-to communication skill solutions for connecting with confidence, clarity, compassion, respect, and success.
