AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference agenda is packed with a lineup of all-star industry experts presenting on the latest trends and innovation in orthopedic practice management. To help you get to know the conference's speakers a little better, we will be spotlighting them leading up to the conference.

AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference brings to you Tony Edwards, Senior Vice President of Venel. With so many government regulations driven around patient satisfaction, orthopaedic practices cannot lose sight of the key factors that help create a positive patient experience. Continually measuring patient satisfaction may meet government regulations, but if there are not steps in place to improve the patient experience, then practices waste precious resources and miss an opportunity to integrate a strategy that helps with driving new business. Staff engagement is a strategic management concept that has a direct impact on positive patient experiences. Attend this session to learn how to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Edwards recently shared some information to help you get to know more about him and his session!

AAOE: Why should attendees come to your session?

Edwards: Orthopaedic practices continue to face pressure from payors when it comes to measurement, specifically patient satisfaction. Having performed research with thousands of patients across hundreds of orthopaedic practices for over 30 years, the research shows that there is a very distinct difference between providing satisfactory service and providing service that results in referrals. This difference affects a practice’s bottom line. In this course, I will share this research along with key mistakes practices often make when it comes to the patient experience.

AAOE: What's a fun fact about you that attendees should know?

Edwards: I’ve been a Chicago Cubs fan for as long as I’ve been alive!

AAOE: What are key takeaways from your session?

Edwards: Attendees will have a strong understanding of how to evaluate the patient experience as well as the factors that drive word-of-mouth referrals.

Register now for AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference, May 5-8 in Nashville, TN to attend Edwards session! Add his session to your personal agenda during registration, or add it later by editing your registration form in the Attendee Service Center
