AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference agenda is packed with a lineup of all-star industry experts presenting on the latest trends and innovation in orthopedic practice management. To help you get to know the conference's speakers a little better, we will be spotlighting them leading up to the conference.

AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference brings to you Max Reiboldt, CPA, President & CEO from Coker Group. Orthopaedic surgeons—every one of them—should be “million-dollar” physicians!

Attend this session to learn how to develop the right strategies to meet successful management, planning, and cutting-edge real-world objectives. Learn 10 (or more!) strategies that are relevant in 2019 and beyond for maximizing orthopaedists’ bottom line. This isn’t a session “just about the money;” you will learn creative strategies for maximizing the financial performance of your practice. While not every physician will take home a million dollars every year, the presenters believe that orthopaedic surgeons are truly “million-dollar” physicians and it is practice managers’ responsibility to lay the foundation. This session will present futuristic trends for achieving creative goals and objectives.

Reiboldt recently shared some information to help you get to know more about him and his session!

AAOE: Why should attendees come to your session?

Reiboldt: Orthopedic surgeons—every one of them—should be "million-dollar" physicians! While our session will not overlook the importance of high-quality care for patients, as we will concentrate upon successful management traits, planning and cutting-edge real-world objectives to assure both the quality and economic values of orthopaedic surgeons will be realized. This will not be "just about the money," but a realistic, interactive review to include creative processes for maximizing financial performance of the orthopaedic practice, while still assuring top quality of care.

AAOE: What's a fun fact about you that attendees should know?

Reiboldt: I am probably the oldest one in the audience and have been working with orthopaedic practices for three decades. During that time, I have experienced the full gamut of both very good and very bad ways to run the orthopaedic practice. I think I have seen it "all."

AAOE: What are key takeaways from your session?

Reiboldt: We will center on how successful management, planning and cutting-edge real-world objectives can be met through development of proper strategies and not compromising on quality of care. No less than 10 strategies for maximizing orthopaedic practices' bottom-line will be presented and discussed, including alignment structures of orthopaedists with health systems, private equity investors, surgery center developers, and other potential partners. We will articulate the reasons why some orthpaedists are truly "million-dollar"providers. Through case studies and interactive Q&A, a review of things done properly will justify both economic and clinical/surgical value.
