AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference agenda is packed with a lineup of all-star industry experts presenting on the latest trends and innovation in orthopedic practice management. To help you get to know the conference's speakers a little better, we will be spotlighting them leading up to the conference.

AAOE's 2019 Annual Conference brings to you Kermit Glenn Smith (Coach K) from The Transformational Tour Guide. Cumulative Microtrauma is a destructive phenomenon that occurs in relationships just like it does in our bodies. In relationships, the most common cause is small, unresolved issues that build up over time, eventually replacing warmth and connection with chronic pain. These fragile “bones of contention” cannot continue to support the relationship and eventually end up creating fractured or even broken lives. This talk discusses the escalation pattern (Four Rs) for every relationship to be aware of and avoid to ensure that the bones of the relationship stay healthy and strong to support a life of love and passion.

Smith recently shared some information to help you get to know more about him and his session!

AAOE: Why should attendees come to your session?

Smith: Attendees will learn how to easily identify and respond to the process that causes relationships to fracture and communication to shut down.

AAOE: What's a fun fact about you that attendees should know?

Smith: I once dressed up in a frog costume in college to present a term paper in my Pyschology class because my professor promised me an A regardless of quality if I did. I like to think I would have gotten an A anyway because I feel I did a really good job on my paper, but now I'll never quite know for sure.

AAOE: What are key takeaways from your session?

Smith: Understanding how easy it is to restore communication in any relationship whether it's at the workplace or on the home front.
