AAOE: Why should attendees come to your sessions?

Anderanin: Many offices are dispensing DME and instead of creating profit, it can cause financial loss if it is not managed appropriately.

My other session, "What You May Be Missing in Office and Surgical Coding," will describe the most commonly missed procedures and services I see in coding audits for practices. Attendees can make sure they are not missing anything.

AAOE: What's a fun fact about you that attendees should know?

Anderanin: I am very often orthopedic coding while watching a NASCAR race or a hockey game. I was also a figure skater until I had a knee injury that made me hang up my skates.

AAOE: What are key takeaways from your sessions?

Anderanin: "Everything You Need to Know About Office DME" will share code assignment, documentation requirements, and inventory management of DME in the office setting.

"What You May Be Missing in Office and Surgical Coding" will provide a list of services and procedures that can be reported for maximum reimbursement in the office and for surgery cases.
