Your New Year’s Resolution: Participate in AAOE’s Benchmarking Survey!

It’s that time of year when we’re flooded with messages about New Year’s Resolutions. Whether you buy into the “new year, new me” mentality or not, the start of the new year invites – if not requires – us to reflect upon the successes of the past year and plan for the year ahead.

This year, make participating in AAOE’s Benchmarking Survey your 2019 resolution!

Why?

Benchmarking allows you to measure your practice against the competition, identify areas where your practice is succeeding, and spot areas that need improvement. With that information you can develop a plan to address problem areas, as well as enhance and promote what you are already doing well.

For more than 20 years, AAOE has conducted its annual Benchmarking Survey of orthopaedic practices. The data collected through the survey includes revenue and expense, productivity and compensation, overhead expenses, ancillary services, recruitment strategies, and more. Access the data in AAOE’s interactive online Data Portal or in the easy-to-use Benchmarking Results eBook with reports broken down by practice size.

AAOE members have the opportunity to participate in the survey each spring to receive the results for free.

Below is a video message from Chris Greenman, MBA, MHA, CMPE, Administrator of Tahoe Fracture & Orthopaedic, about why your participation in AAOE's Benchmarking Survey is so important (turn the captions on to watch with sound off).

Benchmarking Success Stories [Video]

Hear from AAOE members who have successfully used the AAOE Benchmarking Results to make strategic decisions for their practices. Ron Whiting explains how his practice uses a new feature in the results that let's you filter by line of service to better measure your practice's data. Sometimes, you don't recognize areas needing improvement until looking at the results, or so was the case for Terry Rosenthal. Although he thought his practice was performing well with MRI, the Benchmarking Results revealed they were in the bottom 25th percentile compared to other practices. He explains what his practice did in response and how this revelation presented an opportunity to make improvements. WATCH NOW
