Here are some do's and don'ts to make your application stand out in the crowd.

Please DO:

  • Provide a complete and thoughtful response to all of the questions included in the  Call for Presentations. Download a PDF copy of the questions to help you prepare.
  • Discuss the educational content and value of your proposed session.
  • Include tools and resources that attendees will be able to take away from the session in your proposal.
  • Complete your submission prior to the deadline.
  • Carefully choose your primary and secondary topics so your proposal can be accurately reviewed.
  • Contact the AAOE Education Department with any questions.
PLEASE DON'T:
  • Rush through the proposal or provide incomplete answers.
  • Assume that the Call for Presentation process does not apply to you.
  • Sell your services or mention your products in the proposal.
  • Miss out on this opportunity to present at the 2019 Annual Conference!

When completing a presentation proposal, know that you will be asked to:

  • Include a presentation title.
Hey Rockstars! Be cool, follow the rules.

AAOE wants you to rock - but make sure your song doesn't involve selling from the podium. This tune will not be tolerated. If you are found in violation you will be banned from all future AAOE conferences.

  • Select the appropriate track and topic area.
  • Select the session length and format.
  • Detail 2-5 learning objectives.
  • Include a presentation summary (100 words or fewer) that will be used for marketing the session).
  • Include a presentation description (up to 500 words) that will be used by the conference planning committee to select sessions that best match the core objectives of AAOE educational content.
  • Submit your own bio, as well as the bios of any other presenters. All bios have a maximum of 100 words.
